In the many occasions in a year, we sometimes ran out of ideas of what gift to give to our loved ones. Occasionally, we also end up giving the wrong gift. What we don’t know is both men and women have cherished this kind of gift for ages regardless of race, religion, language and nationality. A perfume has been an image of love, ecstacy, desire and bliss for a long time now
These days, a lot of people would want to receive a perfume as a present. And if the fragrance turns out to be one of your favourite, it doubles the pleasure. A perfume is the final touch that you cannot forget to wear before heading out and wearing it don’t just make you smell good but you can also attract the opposite sex.
But always bear in mind that fragrance is a very personal product. What smells so heaven to you might be the opposite for somebody. It is best that in choosing the right scent, know his/her preferences of the person who will wear it,so that the gift will be easy to find and always appreciated.
Here are some steps in perfume selection as gift:
- Find out what kind of perfume your loved one wears. Ask him/her casually as not to ruin the surprise gift.
- Buy the perfume in a perfume store where you can choose a lot of different scents.
- If you can find a perfume that smells so good and at the same time it is on discount, go for it right away.
- Check the exchange policy of the store. This way, the recipient can exchange that particular perfume if he/she does not like the scent.
- If a recipient isyour close relativeand you don’t know what fragrance he/she wears, choose something that smells good to you. Just make sure it can be exchanged if your enthusiasm is not shared
- The scent should be appropriate for the person’s age. Usually, a younger person doesn’t like to wear something that is strong or what we call an “eau de toilette”. Instead, they prefer using a lighter scent or mist.If the recipient is an older person, go for something that is strong.
- And lastly, to make the gift appear so special, wrap the box, tie in some ribbons and give it together with a card.
Some people have a severe dislike or may be allergic to fragrance. If you aren’t sure, notice if the person uses scented lotions, candles or other perfumed items.
Rules to give perfumes as gift:
Do not give the gift of perfume or cologne unless you were standing next to your loved one in mall when they looked at the fragrance desirably and you clearly heard them wistfully say, “Oh, if only I had $70 to spare.”
If such a case didn’t happened, may be your heart can open the ways. If the fragrance drives you to remember your dear one, maybe that’s the perfume you wanted to buy.
Fragrance is one of those specialized gifts (like sweaters) that people have an intimate connection with. If you don’t love it, you just won’t wear it.
